Hop Electric has launched the OXO electric motorcycle in India at a price of Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric motorcycle is available in two variants, the standard Hop OXO and the OXO-X. It boasts of a claimed range of 150km on a single charge along with a digital instrument cluster with smartphone and internet connectivity.

The Hop OXO uses a single electric motor which drives the rear wheel. The motor is rated at 6.2kW and 200Nm of torque, which is capable of pushing the electric motorcycle to a claimed top speed of 90kmph. There are riding modes too, eco, power and sport along with the Turbo mode in which it can launch from 0 to 40kmph in just 4 seconds.
A 3.75kWh li-ion battery pack has been used. This allows for a single charge range of 150km as claimed by Hop. The motorcycle also features smart battery management technology that optimises it during use, maximising range or performance depending upon need. Using a 16 Amp power socket, the battery can be juiced up from 0 to 80 per cent in four hours.
The instrument cluster is a 5-inch unit and comes with IP67 weather protection. In terms of features the Hop OXO gets regen braking, 4G connectivity, smartphone application which allows for functions like speed control, geo-fencing, anti-theft system, ride stats and more.
Hop Electric is offering a warranty of 3 years/50,000km on the standard variant and a warranty of 4 years/unlimited kilometres on the OXO X. The Hop OXO X is priced at Rs 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
